Strawberry Mango Salsa
It’s May. Summer is almost here, well, not really, but once May hits, it sure feels like summer is near. I’m ready to stuff my face with homemade salsa. And this Strawberry Mango Salsa that I’m sharing with you guys today is pretty simple to make, but it’s so addicting and fresh and wonderful! So, basically, it’s everything salsa should be! This salsa just makes me happy. It’s so bright and colorful. Who wouldn’t want to dig into this? A crazy person, that’s who!
I adore the sweetness of the mango and strawberry paired with the heat of the jalapeno. This salsa is also pretty versatile. You can serve it with chips (obviously), but it’s also the perfect topping for grilled chicken or fish! You could also spoon it into tacos! It truly is the best way to elevate any dinner or snack!
Strawberry Mango Salsa
Ingredients
- 1 cup diced mango*
- 1 cup diced strawberries, stems removed
- 1 tablespoon finely diced jalapeno pepper, seeds removed
- 1/2 cup diced red onion
- 1 lime, juiced
- 2-4 tablespoons chopped cilantro
Instructions
- Add the mango, strawberry, jalapeno, and the red onion to a bowl. Stir in the lime juice and cilantro until well-combined. Serve with tortilla chips or over chicken or fish.
Notes
I recommend using fresh mango if you can get it, however, you can also use frozen mango if needed. If using frozen mango, let the mango thaw, drain away the liquid, and pat dry gently with a paper towel.
