Strawberry Lemon Rosé
It’s heating up outside which means it’s time for refreshing and easy summer cocktails! This Strawberry Lemon Rosé is hardly a recipe, but with freshly smashed strawberries and fresh lemon juice, it’s just enough to make it feel a bit more special than a glass of wine on its own (hey, not that there is anything wrong with a plain old glass of wine!).
This rosé sort-of-punch only takes a few minutes to prep and I am loving it for summer cookouts, parties, or even for bridal showers!
Recipe Tips and Suggestions:
- I like to use sparkling rosé for this, but really, any rose works fine. You could also use a white sparkling wine or champagne in place of the rosé if you’d rather!
- I don’t like super sweet drinks, but if you want this to be sweeter, you can stir in a bit of granulated sugar a simple syrup to sweeten it.
- Feel free to add more strawberries or lemon if you want a stronger fruit flavor. I smash the strawberries until they are mostly in smaller smashed pieces rather than a pure strawberry puree (which you can certainly do if you want to take the extra step to run them through a blender first).
- You can prepare this cocktail in advance and it can easily be doubled or tripled for more people. If making ahead, I do not recommend adding whole lemon slices as the peel can make the drink bitter over time.
