Peanut Butter Granola
When I was younger my absolute favorite cereal was Reese’s Puffs. Seriously so good. And I couldn’t even tell you the last time I had them, it’s been like 15 years, at least. I just cannot buy them. First, they are loaded with sugar, but second and more importantly, I will eat the whole box in like 1 day. I’m not even kidding.
If there is anyway to incorporate peanut butter into my breakfast, I am all about it! This peanut butter granola is perfect over some vanilla yogurt or with some milk. And of course you have throw in some mini chocolate chips because peanut butter and chocolate is the best thing ever.
Oh, and as you can see from my photos, I like the big chunks of granola. You know the biggest chunks are the best ones. Don’t even try to tell me they’re not!
Peanut Butter Granola
Blueberry Strawberry Crumble - a lighter fruit crumble to celebrate the end of summer made with a delicious oat topping!
Ingredients
- 2 cups oats
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/4 cup honey
- Optional: sliced almonds, raisins, chocolate chips, dried fruit
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, stir in the peanut butter and the honey and heat tor about 30 seconds until the peanut butter and the honey are melted. Remove from the microwave and stir together. Mix in the oats until they are all well-coated with the peanut butter and honey mixture.
- Spread evenly onto the baking sheet and bake for about 5 minutes. If your oven tends to cook things more quickly, I recommend stirring the granola about halfway through. Remove from the oven and let the granola cool completely. Once cooled, break the larger chunks into smaller bite-sized pieces. Store in an air-tight container.

I love how chunky this granola is! I’m all about the big chunks!
Oh yum, this seems so simple and easy! Can’t wait to make this; seems like there’s never enough peanut butter in the house :)
PB Captain crunch was my favorite, and as a result my favorite granola is also peanut butter! SO good.
I only make granola about twice a year, because I eat it ALL in record time! I may have to make an exception for your tempting pb version…it sounds incredible!!!
This looks SO yummy, Stephanie! I love that the base is just 3 ingredients, too!
What a quick and easy granola. I agree… Peanut butter is an awesome ingredient for breakfast. :)
I could totally go for a bowl of this right now!
The chunks are the best! Looks so good!
Mmm, peanut butter for breakfast. Sign me up!
I’m looking forward to making this recipe, except we have to use SunButter due to allergies. It sounds a lot easier than shaping it into little bite sized balls!
Thanks, Marjory! SunButter would be great too!
So many glorious chunks! The chunks are the best part, I agree with you. :) And only three ingredients to make this. Ahhh so good.
Whaaaattt???? I can’t get over how simple this granola is!! It looks AWESOME!
WOOOW your granola looks PERFECT!! So many delicious chunks :)
Oh, yes, it’s all about the big chunks and I’m all about peanut butter. Unfortunately, I would eat this whole batch of granola in one day!
Yes, to big chunks!
Hi Stephanie, I just stumbled across this and it looks AMAZING! I was wondering if you had a calorie count per serve – without the chocolate is fine.
Thanks, Maddi
Thanks so much for the sweet compliment! You can use sites like Spark Recipes (for free!) to calculate the nutrition. You can also try with and without the chocolate chips (as well as other ingredients and amounts) and see what you get!
