If you have been to my blog before, you may have noticed the new look that launched this past weekend! I’m so excited about the new design and I have to give full credit to Lindsay of Purr Design and Love & Olive Oil. I’ve been an admirer of Lindsay’s work for a long time and when I decided my blog needed a new look, Lindsay was my first choice for a designer. One of things I like about her is that she is also a food blogger and I knew she would understand what I needed.

There are a number of things that make Lindsay the best designer. First and foremost though, she listens to her clients and that is so incredibly important to find in a designer. I told her what I had envisioned and she created it and got it right the first time. She is always there for her clients too. Whenever I had a question or a problem, I never had to wait long for a response and she is so easy to work with. I can’t recommend her enough! If you are contemplating a new design, Lindsay is your girl!

So, let’s talk about the new design!

First, if you look at the way older recipes are formatted, you may see they look a little off. I am aware of this and will be working on updating them, but please understand that there are over 300 recipes on my site, so it’s going to take some time. If you are having any difficulty reading a particular recipe, please shoot me an email and I will try to update it as soon as possible.

The update I think I am most excited about is the improved recipe index. With my previous site, it was difficult to find recipes using the index, but the new design makes it so much easier!

If you go to the Recipe Index, you can search ingredients and categories so easily!

Recipe Index

If you scroll down, you can search by specific ingredients:

If you search by category, you will now see thumbnails of all recipes in that category, here’s an example using breakfast recipes:

Category

The index will also be cleaned up in time, so bear with me!

Other than the recipe index and formatting, the site should be pretty easy to navigate. If you notice any bugs, please let me know! I hope you guys like it! And thanks again to Lindsay for all of her hard work!
