Greek Yogurt with Warm Berry Sauce
You know what I love?
Recipes that can be eaten for breakfast AND dessert.
I can’t even begin to tell you how wonderful this Greek yogurt with warm berry sauce is. It is super easy to prepare and does not contain very much sugar which makes it a great option for breakfast or dessert. I could just eat the sauce with a spoon as is. Also, look how pretty it is!! It’s happiness in a bowl!
In fact, it’s very possible I did eat it with a spoon right out of the pan. It’s also possible that I burned the s*&# out of my tongue…I really have no patience whatsoever.
The sauce is just perfect to balance out the tanginess of the Greek yogurt. It would also be so good stirred into a bowl of oatmeal. If you want a more indulgent treat, serve this sauce over ice cream! It would also be the perfect topping for pancakes or waffles! It’s all good either way and so very simple! But maybe take my advice and don’t eat it out of the pan when scalding hot…

Berry sauce does have a myriad of tasty uses. Using it as a topping over yogurt is probably the healthiest move and a pretty delicious one. I sometimes crave these parfait type things for breakfast. Sorry your taste test was a little too soon on the sauce and you burned your tongue-hopefully it will be back to normal in a few days.
I made this last summer and it really is the perfect warm weather breakfast AND dessert! Yours is beautiful!
I have recently become addicted to greek yogurt, it is soooo good! I’ll definitely have to try this recipe.

I love berry sauce in just anything! It’s so deliciously versatile!
This look so good. Especially since it’s berry sauce. Lots os tastes to be enjoyed and even mixes of different berries. I bet it would be fantastic for breakfast with a scattering of granola on the top too… heaven!
How interesting – I love Greek yogurt, as a snack and to cook with, but I never though to combine it with a warm sauce. Sounds fantastic!

This looks like a perfect last-minute sauce to throw on pretty much anything – I’m thinking angel food cake and ice cream for dessert, but your yogurt combo looks PERFECT for breakfast!

I love making my own berry sauce and I have burned my tongue so many times I lost count, but it seems I never learn. Eating straight form the pan is oh so good!
Noted, do not eat boiling hot berry sauce, no matter how tasty it looks! :)
I never thought of putting warm berry sauce over yogurt, but I’m loving this idea. Beautiful parfaits :)
mmm… love the idea of this warm berry sauce with Greek yogurt… looks beautiful too. Minus the sugar, I think I could eat it for breakfast as well! (maybe just a splash of agave at that hour ;-)).
Oooo, berries and Greek yogurt. Two of my favorite things!
I am drooling right now!!! You know I adore Greek yogurt, so I am loving the idea of a warm berry sauce!!!! Beautiful, Hugs, Terra
This makes me want to say “berries, berries and WHAT ELSE?” Like that commercial with the little lad? Starbursts? Am I losing tons of cool points here?
Either way, looks delicious!
Love this…yogurt for the breakfast version, ice cream for dessert. You know a recipe is good that you would rather burn the crap out of your mouth rather than wait for it to cool to eat!
