Recipe Tips and Suggestions:

  • Be sure to use old fashioned oats instead of quick oats. Quick oats will result in a mushier texture.
  • I use unsweetened vanilla almond milk, but any milk that you have on hand will work for this recipe.
  • If peanut butter is not your thing, you can swap it out for almond or other nut butters.
  • Maple syrup works well to sweeten these oats, but if you don’t have any, you can also stir in 1-2 teaspoons of stevia or other sweentener alternatives, or, of just regular old light brown sugar.
  • If you are feeling too lazy to make the chocolate top layer, you can skip this step and just stir in a tablespoon of chocolate chips to get the chocolate fix.
  • Feel free to stir in other add-ins if desired like chia seeds or protein powder.
  • This recipe is for one serving, but can easily be doubled or tripled for meal prepping.
