These BLT Chicken Lettuce Wraps are the perfect summer meal for a delicious lunch or simple low-carb dinner! Grilled chicken is mixed with tomatoes, avocado, and crumbled bacon and served in a fresh crisp lettuce cup.

It’s officially the unofficial start to summer and lettuce wraps are one of those things that I crave all season long. The classic BLT sandwich is a favorite year round, but I wanted to make a lower-carb version and spruced it up by adding grilled chicken and avocado and a drizzle of ranch. These also have sort of a cobb salad vibe which is also a favorite of mine so whatever you want to call them – these lettuce wraps were absolutely scrumptious!

To make this recipe, you will need:

  • chicken breasts – I grilled my own chicken for these, but you can also cut up a rotisserie chicken or use leftover cooked chicken if you have some you need to use up!
  • olive oil
  • some simple seasonings (salt, paprika, garlic powder)
  • iceberg lettuce
  • cherry tomatoes
  • avocado
  • bacon
  • ranch dressing (or dressing of your choice!)

Recipe Tips and Suggestions:

  • For the chicken, I like to grill some fresh chicken because it’s easy to do, but you can also use rotisserie chicken or leftover chicken if you have some in your fridge!
  • I have used both iceberg and butter lettuce for lettuce wraps. Iceberg lettuce will be a bit sturdier and is more hearty, but butter lettuce can work as well as long as you don’t overfill them.
  • Feel free to add cubed cheese or other mix-ins if desired!
  • I drizzled my lettuce wraps with ranch dressing, but you can also drizzle any salad dressing like blue cheese, Italian dressing, or even just some fresh lemon juice!
  • If you want to meal prep these, grill the chicken and store in the fridge. You can also dice up the tomatoes and cook the bacon to save time. Obviously, the avocado is best diced sliced fresh to avoid browning.

The classic BLT make lower-carb! Tender grilled chicken tossed with tomatoes, avocado, crumbled bacon, ranch and served in a fresh crisp lettuce wrap!


  • 1 pound boneless chicken breast, cut into 1/3-inch thick
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1 1/2 cups cherry tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 large avocado, seeded and diced
  • head of iceberg lettuce
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • ranch dressing (or dressing of your choice)


  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, salt, garlic powder, paprika, and lemon juice. Pour the marinade over the chicken and let marinate for 30 minutes in the fridge.
  2. Heat a grill or grill pan over medium high heat. Grill the chicken for about 4-5 minutes. Flip and continue cooking another 4-5 minutes until the chicken is cooked through. Remove and let stand for 5 minutes.
  3. Slice or dice the chicken into small bite-size pieces. Add the chicken to a bowl along with the tomatoes and avocado. Season with a bit of salt and additional lemon (if desired).
  4. Take the iceberg lettuce. Cut the bottom stem portion off and gently peel back the leaves. Rinse and pat dry.
  5. Serve the chicken mixture in a bowl alongside the lettuce. Top each wrap with some crumbled bacon and ranch dressing (or dressing of your choice).
