Berry and Banana Oat Breakfast Smoothie

Back to work. I can’t believe my maternity leave is over. It just flew by and now I want to cry my eyes out at even just the thought of leaving my sweet baby girl. I know we will all be fine, but I also know it’s going to be a huge adjustment for all three of us.

My husband will be staying with the baby at home during the day since he works from home. I know she is in good hands and they will be having fun and bonding, but I know it will be exhausting for him.

Cooking meals has become progressively easier for us these past few weeks, but going back to work is going to throw things off again.

And I have a feeling mornings are going to be extra crazy with me trying to help feed her while also getting ready to leave. Breakfast may need to be on-the-go and what better breakfast to take than a nice filling smoothie?

The new year always make me want to toss away all the heavy dishes and sugary cookies (for like 10 minutes and then I have withdrawals, but whatevs). Smoothies are a great alternative to cookies and a great way to kick start the day if you are trying to switch things up and eat a little healthier.

This is the perfect smoothie for breakfast! It’s loaded with a banana, frozen berries, oats, coconut oil, and yogurt. All delicious, nutritious, and filling things to eat for breakfast!
